We use Salesgenie to generate reliable leads to support our sales staff in generating new sales and customers. This is fed into our CMR and has been better than any other lead generation service we've used in the past. The problem it addresses with us is not in the number of leads they generate but the quality of the leads Salesgenie provides.

  • We have a very specific industry and sometimes drilling down to these leads can be challenging. But with customer service, they have solved this for us.
Salesgenie is for the company that has tried other services and have been disappointed, and for the company that is wasting their time getting their leads one at a time.

Salesgenie is one of many softwares I have used for lead generation. It provides detailed information and is definitely one of the more user friendly softwares.
  • The company information with revenue size and employee size it typically relevant.
  • The ability to search based on geographical location is very useful.
  • The industry intel it provides is great.
  • The contact information and details aren't always current.
  • It would be helpful to have more report running, list generation ability.
  • The phone numbers arent always right.
It is suited as a starting point. Gathering companies to call and learning what types of companies are in certain cities/areas is great. However, sometimes the information listed for those companies isn't accurate or current. It gives you the list of decision makers for each vertical, but their contact details sometimes is defaulted to the general contact details for the company.

  • It's always great to have another resource for lead generation.
  • It has a very healthy list of companies in my sales territory.
  • It has helped me become more of an expert in my direct market.
Salesgenie is comparable to many of the big names out there. However, depending on your needs and financial capabilities is what you get out of it. Though it provides a great list of leads, it makes it a little difficult with the incorrect information. I would rank it top 10 softwares for lead generation.
I previously used it and I was in a sales/business development focused role. Salesgenie was used to generate leads in an industry specific search and territory. I would look up companies based on my territory and use Salesgenie to get contact information for the accurate decision makers so that I can plan for sales calls.
We would have to call the general number for support- we didn't have a dedicated account manager. That made it tough because I felt like the person that would take my call didn't have full knowledge of my needs and therefore could not best service my call.

We tested Salesgenie among several databases of leads. We did not purchase this product because it has few if any direct phone numbers and has limited emails. Our intention was to find primary contacts to sell our software. Finding emails is easy but finding direct phone numbers is very difficult. It would have been used by our inside sales/ telemarketing department.
  • I liked the organization of the database it was easy to maneuver.
  • Search was fairly easy to maintain.
  • If you want to create a list of leads this will work. However, it is primarily for consumer leads not B2B.
  • They told us that it was illegal to provide direct phone numbers because of the do not call registry and EU regulations however that isn't the case for B2B.
  • When compared to rival products, Salesgenie lacked a complete registry of people within the company.
  • Some of the data was outdated and needed a refresh.
Salesgenie is great for business to consumer. If you are a financial adviser, insurance sales rep or solar sales, this is an ideal low-cost database that will help significantly. However, if you sell Business to Business, I would not recommend this product. It is not geared toward corporate structure and doesn't provide any value.

  • We did not purchase this product, in our testing, we found it would have increased our workload without providing any return.
  • Primary issues are bad and outdated information
  • Missing primary leads remove Salesgenie from qualified solutions
DiscoverOrg was the best, it had an amazing organization structure that made it easy to find the right person. However, it was tremendously expensive. ZoomInfo was the product we chose because it had the largest database and great tools for searching and Salesforce. It was also expensive but not as expensive as the former. ONESOURCE is now a D&B product. It was comparable to Salesgenie and had similar results. In a trial, we found few of our confirmed leads were found in ONESOURCE. Not worth the money on that one.

It is being used across the entire organization. We use Salesgenie as a sales tool to find qualified leads. It gets us quick and fast info on businesses and saves a lot of time. The entire sales department uses it.
  • Lets me know the businesses that have yet to be touched by our company or any of the other companies we work with.
  • Provides the owner name, gender, phone number, and square footage.
  • The way you can organize the detail into multiple templates and print. Helps me when I contact the businesses or do more research later on.
  • Some of the addresses are incorrect, or the phone number.
  • I wish they would, in addition, provide the name of current managers as opposed to the owner of the building. And social media links as well.
  • I would like to see square footage of the building, the year the building was established, and the type of ceilings they have.
  • Well suited for the security industry.
  • You can find new business and the address, phone number, owner name.
  • Not so well suited for the medical industry.
  • Great to find potential leads.
  • Great to find local verticals, very organized in the search engine.

  • Positive, I was able to generate about three more proposals a week
